 Welcome!Minimize

  Welcome to Cluster 6-3!

Our cluster goal is to foster and instill accountability in our students as they transition to the next phase of their life and learning.

I am Cluster 6-3's Math teacher.  I also teach one class of Reading and one class of Social Studies.  For more information about the district math curriculum, visit the LPS website for a copy of the Curriculum Guide.  For more information about the CMP2 program used in LPS middle schools visit PHSchool.com/cmp2.  I am also available, and more than happy, to answer any questions or concerns in these areas.

We have enjoyed this year so far and look forward to preparing students for their 7th grade year.  Please review the "Cluster 6-3 Guidebook" and "Powell Student/Parent Handbook" for questions and concerns.

STUDENT COUNCIL

We meet Wednesday mornings at 7:20 (Late Start days, 9:30) in my classroom (133).  Every Student Council member will have a calendar and copy of the meeting schedule.  There is also a copy of the meeting schedule outside my classroom door (to the right of the door).

The next All-Rep meeting will be Wednesday, October 1 at 7:20.

GREEN TEAM!! (est. 2007)

Three Tuesdays a month the Green Team will meet in room 133 (Rogers).  We recycle for the school and discuss ideas for projects and goals to make our school, and ourselves, more "green."  Students are able to take the activity buses home after the meeting.  Come join the Green Team, meet new people, make new friends, and make a difference!

A schedule will be established in the first few meetings.  The next Green Team is Tuesday, October 28.

ASSIGNMENTS

Below you will find the assignment "grid."  This is a copy of the "assignment board" posted in my classroom.  If a student is absent, please make sure to check with each of your teachers for all missed classwork and homework.  Check your absent folder and the absent planner, then schedule a time to talk to your teacher about additonal information and clarification on your assignments.

I will try my best to do update the homework "board" once a week.  Students should be utilizing their planners each day, and can always call other classmates to find out the daily classwork and homework.  There are some assignments that cannot be expressed on a webpage.
